Day-wise Itinerary for Hippy Kinnaur Spiti Valley Tour From Chandigarh

Day 1 : Transfer From Chandigarh to Narkanda(190 knm,6-7 hrs)
  • Start your amazing Kinnaur Spiti Valley from Chandigarh.
  • We will be riding towards Narkanda after you have a meal at Nik baker’s. And there is a tour of Pinjore gardens organized for you.
  • Another stoppage on the way would be the unique and enchanting Timber Trail Resort.
  • As the journey continues more splendid hill stations would come on the way - Shimla, Fagu, Theog, Matiana, and then lastly Narkanda.
  • At Fagu, we have arranged a visit to the Bhantia Devta Temple (a famous one in the Town)
  • Moreover, when you reach Narkanda, go for a holy visit to the Hattu Peak and Hattu temple.
  • It is your last day in the Shimla District, tomorrow you shall be entering the Kinnaur Valley.
Day 2 : Transfer from Narkanda to Sangla via Sarahan(161 km,7-8 hrs)
  • Today’s journey to Kinnaur valley would be 8-10 hours long.
  • In between the voyage, we have arranged a few amazing stopovers to relax and have a meal
    • After you reach Sarhan, have a meal at the Tenzin – Tibetan and Chinese Kitchen.
    • Post that a devotional visit to the Bheemakali temple completes your stoppage at Sarhan.
    • At Kharcham Dam, another halt has been arranged to stretch your arms and legs and enjoy a meal at the local restaurant.
    • The first place you will notice on reaching Sangla would be the Dungyur Temple.
    • Apple Orchard Farm and Camping is recommended by us to experience nature closely.
Day 3 : Local Sightseeing of Chitkul Sangla Valley
  • The realization of the pristine surroundings could be well felt in the morning.
  • Start with a meal of the morning adorned with a buttery Kinnaur cha and Kinnauri local food.
  • Ready to explore the valley?
    • Kamru Fort: the fort is near Sangla village. It has a temple of Lord Badrinath and Kamakshi Devi. The castle faces the enigmatic picturesque view of the Sangla Valley.
    • Trout Fish Farm and Wood Carving factory are the complimentary visits included in the Kinnaur tour.
    •  Chitkul is said to be the last inhabitant township. The famous places to visit here are Mathi Devi Temple and Step Waterfalls.
    • While going back to Sangla village, halts will be there at Rachkam Village and Batseri Village
Day 4 : Sangla to Kalpa travel along with Kalpa Local Sightseeing 2,759 metres / 9,048 feet (40 kms/ 2-3 hrs
  • Via Powri and Reckong peo, you shall be today travelling to another amazing hill site of the Kinnaur Valley, Kalpa.
  • At Reckong Peo, you will have a major halt to stroll around the town and enjoy the afternoon meal.
  • A unique feature of the Kaza town is that Mount Kinnaur Kailash is visible from everywhere from the Town.
  • What is there to explore in Kalpa?
    • Chandika Devi temple:  the Devi of the temple presides in the heart of local people. Pilgrims visit here to show their respect to the divinity.
    • Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery and Brelangi Monastery are two Tibetan settlements in Kalpa
    • Roghi Village: A quaint and lovely village that would make you fall in love with its silence and beauty.
    • Kalpa Suicide Point: A thrill added to the Kalpa tour. You will be amazed to visit the viewpoint.
Day 5 : Kalpa to Tabo 3,050 metres / 10010 feet (190 Kms / 9-10 hrs)
  • Encounter the enchanting confluence of River Sutlej and River Spiti at the Khab Sangam, while traversing to Tabo Village.
  • You will notice the conspicuous contrast as you enter the Spiti Valley.
  • There would be a few titillating stops for revelation on the way
    • Pooh: you will get a break at Lungta Café in the village of Pooh.
    • Nako Village: Nako Lake will make awestruck.
    • Gue Village: a 500 year old Mummy is preserved in the prime monastery of the village.
  • You will be discovering the most olden and revered monastery of Spiti Valley here.
  • Stay at the village and get the required rest for tomorrow’s travel.
Day 6 : Tabo to Kaza 3,200 metres / 10,500 feet, (51 kms / 2-3 hrs)
  • Go for another ride to the amazing town of Spiti Valley.
  • In between, you will get a halt at the monastery that was once a prison. But, for 100s of years, the castle of Dhankar has been converted to a monastery.

Reach Kaza and enjoy a lazy walk tour in the town

Day 7 : Sightseeing around Kaza (5-6 hrs).
  • Kaza Tour has many surprises for you today. It is going to be memorable.
    • Key Monastery: magnificent and colossal defines the sanctum aptly. Hundreds of monks reside here to acquire their spiritual education.
    • Kibber Village: The wild life sanctuary in the village is the chief attraction where you can get a gaze of animals like snow leopard, Snow fox and many more.
    • Chicham Bridge: People having vertigo be cautious of looking down from the bridge. No wonder it is the highest motorable conjoin of Asia.
    • Langza Village: A treasure chest of pre-historic evolution remnants, which are sold by locals in the village.

  • Spend the evening back in Kaza enjoying momos with hot spicy sauce at café Zamosa.
Day 8 : Kaza to Chandratal Lake(114km,5-6 hrs)
  • Memory weaving still continues and it is going to be knitted with the moon in it.
  • Travel to the crescent moon lake that seems unrealistic when you 1st see it.
  • In the midway, two pauses are arranged at Losar Village and Kunzum pass.
  • Treasure the moments further with a night’s stay at the campsite 2 km away from the lake.
Day 9 : Chandratal to Manali 2,050 metres / 6,726 feet ( 130 kms /07-08 hrs) Via Rohtang Pass
  • Ok.. Bid adieu to Spiti and travel to romantic hill site Manali.
  • We have arranged stopovers at Nehru Kund and Rohtang pass on the route course.
Day 10 : Manali to Chandigarh (310 kms – 09-10 hrs)
  • Ride back to Chandigarh to climax the trip.
  • The climax has 2 halts at Pandoh Dam and Hanogi Mata temple on the way back.
